Jan Melkebeek is een foto- en videograaf uit Gent. Als zoon van een reportagemaker werd hij sterk beïnvloed door fotografie, televisie en film; daaropvolgend studeerde hij zelf uiteindelijk af als audiovisueel ontwerper. Naast fotografie is Jan wisselend actief in de film- en televisiesector en is hij recreatief muzikant.

Jan Melkebeek is a photographer and videographer from Ghent, Belgium. As the son of a journalist he was heavily influenced by photo imagery, television and film; following these interests he eventually graduated as a audiovisual designer. Other than photography Jan occasionally works for television and film and practices music in his free time.
